Alex and Stella at Tregembo Animal Park

Stella spent a week or so with the Santhuff family, guest of Alex Santhuff from Ms. Brown's fourth grade class (spring 2010).

One of the highlights of the visit was a trip to Tregembo Animal Park in Wilmington (near Monkey Junction), where Stella got to meet a white tiger, a lion, some prairie dogs, capyburas and many other animals. Her favorite was a peacock who spread its feathers in search of a mate!

Stan along with Alexis and Jessica went to the Blue Ridge Mountains for Easter Vacation on March 29th we went under ground in Linville Caverns (we saw Bats).

Me and Stacy went to Chankanaab state park and had a dolphin encounter. We also saw some Mayanruins and a sea lion show.

It was a hair raising adventure. Out of all the fun we had, I think Stan Junior's legs hurt at the end. But, he said it was the most fun he has had in a while. So if you want to take Stan Junior somewhere make sure you take him where he will have a hair raising experience! Jessica , oh yeah and her sister Alexis too.

Olivia and Stan Stingray at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher

Stan Jr. chilled most of the weekend, then went on a "field trip" on Monday. Stan Jr. and I had a blast at Ft. Fisher Aquarium on Martin Luther King Day. We went with my brother and mom. We saw sharks, fish, crabs, seahorses, horseshoe crabs, jellyfish, and stingrays. We took many pictures together and Stan liked them all. My mom's favorite part was when we got in free, and Stan liked it too. I liked spending time with Stan Jr.!

Stacy Stingray's Weeklong Adventure with Sailor

Monday
This week Stacy went to basketball and clogging. On Monday we got to my mom’s school at 3:00 p.m. and we graded papers. Then we went home. We did my homework and played a little. I took a shower and went to bed.

Tuesday
On Tuesday I got up and went to school. Stacy stayed in my backpack. We took the bus home. Next I did my homework and then we went to basketball. Stacy watched on the bench with my dad. Then it was time to go home. I took a shower and went to bed.

Wednesday
Wednesday we went to school and worked hard. We got home and did homework. We ate dinner and I took a shower. Then my mom said, “bedtime”. We went to bed.

Thursday
Finally we woke up on Thursday and ate breakfast and boarded the bus. I took the bus home to my friend’s house. We played and played. It was time for clogging so we left. We got there and Stacy watched us make out new dance. We came home and went to bed. I am returning Stacy to Ogden Elementary School media center.

Phoebe

Me and Stan had a great time at basketball. He watched us play our scrimmage. He cheered us on as him and my Mom sat on the bleachers. Then he had his picture taken with my team. Then we left and Stan and I went to Walgreens to pick up some chapstick because my Mom’s lips were chapped. Then we dropped off my best friend, Sailor at her house. She is on my basketball team, the Lady monarchs! Finally we were home. I took a shower and I went to bed!

The next day I went to school and Stan stayed home with my Mom and my little brother Banks. The y went to the grocery store and picked up some yogurt and milk. Stan stayed in the car while Mom and Banks went in. They left and got the car washed. Then when they came home, me and my brother Bodie got home from school. My Mom helped me with my homework. Now I am bringing Stan back to Ogden Elementary School Library.

Jessica and Alexis took Stacy the Stingray to the Florida Keys for Christmas break.
Stacy went to "The Theater of the Sea" to see Dolphins, Parrots and Sea Lions. She liked Mimi the Sea Lion.
She also went fishing in the Everglades

Hi this is Emma and Stacy. Stacy and I went to Williamsburg. We went to Water Country Busch garden and old time Williamsburg. This is a picture of Stacy and me at old time Williamsburg. In this picture I am in an old time hat. At the water slides sudden drops weren’t that bad. They were tiny. That was at Water Country. There were a lot of roller coasters at Busch Gardens. The drops hurt at first, but then I got used to it. At old Williamsburg, it was really cool, there was a lot of history that I didn’t understand. But I did understand a lot. I liked my trip to Williamsburg. Bye!

Hi my name is Hannah and I am going to tell you all about my trip with Stan to Busch Gardens , Water Country , and Williamsburg.

First we went to Busch Gardens and went and rode lots of roller coasters like the Chariot , Big Bad Wolf , and the Loch Ness Monster. We rode the Loch Ness Monster 8 times.Then we went to Water Country and rode lots of fun and twisty rides and at about 4:00 it started thundering and lightning so we stopped by the gift shop and got some candy on the way out. Finally we went to Williamsburg. We got a guided tour of the town and went to eat at one of the old restaurants. We also got some souvenirs from some of the old stores

Stella went to Charlotte with our family. Our adventure started by going to the Nascar Coca Cola 600. While on pit row she meet Evander Holyfield. The next day she went dress shopping at Nordstrom's. Mommy says it's a really nice store. Stella says Nascar was more fun.

Stacy's Adventures With Alex, Max and Olivia.

May 24, 2009 (Memorial Day Weekend)
I went to Carolina Beach Carnival to ride on the ferris wheel, the Tilt-a-Whirl and to go on the giant slide. It was really fun. My favorite part was the ferris wheel, because we got to go high up in the air, and see the top of buildings and the whole ocean. The Tilt-a-Whirl was fun, too, because we got to spin around and around. I was very dizzy when we got off. After the rides, we went to Freeman Park beach. I didn't go in the water, but I helped make a sand castle! What a fun weekend! I will always remember my time with Alex, Max and Olivia.

My name is Carley. Stella went home on the bus with me. Everyone wanted to hold and pet her. We only had a few minutes of playtime because we had to go to my brother's baseball game. The game was getting sort of boring so Stella and I walked over to the playground that was nearby. After the game we got a bite to eat at Hamburger's Joes to celebrate the 1st win of the season. Stella and I were pooped by the time we got home. I made Stella a bed and changed into my PJs. Stella had a lot of fun at my house and I had fun with her over.

Stan Stingray

I’ve traveled with Calvin’s family to San Francisco. I had a horrible ride in his mom’s suitcase, but then they took me out and today, we went to California Academy of Sciences! We rode the MUNI – kind of like a bus, and we spent ALL day there. We watched a 3D bug show, a planetarium show, walked through a rainforest, and checked out the green roof. My favorite part, though, was the Steinhart Aquarium, which is INSIDE the museum. I said hello to some of my cousins, and the security guards thought I might try to jump in with them! Mostly, though, people think it is really funny to see a stingray being a tourist. I’m not sure what we’re doing tomorrow, but will keep you posted! By the way, it is A LOT colder than Wilmington here…

"I took Stan Jr. to Earth Day at Hugh McRae Park on Saturday April 18, 2009. We had lots of fun. We made pet rocks, learned about the environment and played on the jungle gym.
